Ellis Cellar: Yes it's possible. I could play the piano and the guitar before I ever got lessons for either. It depends on you really. I was lucky in that I don't need to read music at all, as soon as I hear something I can figure out how to play it very quickly. Apparently though some people can't do that so in that case it would be harder to teach yourself. My best advice without knowing anything more about you is to give it your best shot. Get the lessons if you feel you're going nowhere after a month or two (and genuinely, don't expect to learn overnight, with or without lessons that's not going to happen). I've known people give up the guitar because in their own words "they're crap" after only having the instrument for 2 months. If everyone did that we'd never have any music....Show more
Elmo Tervo: if i may say so teaching piano online is notquite effective, no website for that can be setup and going successfully.playing piano is most definetly a hands-on thi! ng.that wouldnt work at all. it can but not.you already teach 8 students at the age of 14.just calm yourself down...Show more
