What is classical dance?

Dee Depung: Classical dance may mean classical Indian dances or maybe classical ballet. Those are the ones most used for that term. Neither are anything like ballroom dancing.

Robt Heemstra: There is a bunch of dance styles considered "classical". There really is no classical ballroom. There would be International Ballroom, which is considered the more showy kind. Example would be like Dancing with the Stars...glitzy, feathers, sparklers, the whole shbang. American Social Ballroom is another style, this is more modern and down to earth.There is also classical ballet classes. This is the most formal and sticks to traditional technique.
